The Official Rules

General Safety
  • All participants riding on the craft must wear the Coast Guard Approved (CGA) Life Jacket provided by Best Day Brewing.
  • All riders must have the ability to swim 100 yards unaided with their costumes on.

Riders
  • All participants must be 21 years of age or older.
  • A maximum of 2 people are allowed to ride the craft. An additional 2 people will be allowed to help participate in the theme and launch the craft.

Craft Design
  • Crafts must be able to float on their own while sitting in the water.
  • All crafts must be made out of environmentally friendly and non toxic materials. 
  • Crafts should not contain any sharp materials that could potentially puncture or hurt anyone.
  • Riders must hold the ski rope handle for the entire ride, attaching to the craft is not permitted at any time.
  • Crafts shall be no more than 8 feet long and 6 feet wide.

  • Costumes are highly encouraged, but may not pose the risk of getting caught in the craft or hamper the rider's ability to see, breathe or stay afloat.

Substance Use
  • The pilot & crew shall not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs at any time while on site, including the pre construction of the craft. Best Day Brewing reserves the right to disqualify a team if they appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Scoring
  • Teams will be judged on distance, creativity, design and showmanship. Theme songs (clean versions) are encouraged and will be subject to approval by Best Day Brewing.

Prizes
  • 1st Place Prize: $3K Cash Prize + $1.5K HO/Hyperlite Gear
  • 2nd Place Prize: $2K Cash Prize + $1K HO/Hyperlite Gear
  • 3rd Place Prize: $1K Cash Prize + $500 HO/Hyperlite Gear
  • All Finalists: A year’s supply of Best Day Brewing
